On Saturday, November 7th, Bishop Lynch German students joined other North Texas German students at the Dallas Mavericks game for German Night. The students enjoyed the game, with the Mavs beating the New Orleans Pelicans 107-98. While the Mavs win was great, the highlight of the evening was the Q&A session the students had with German basketball player Dirk Nowitzki after the game.
The Q&A session was an opportunity for German students to ask Nowitzki questions in German and some in English. “I did understand some of the German,” said current German I student Reagan Beasley. “I loved German Mavs Night and would definitely go again in the future!”
Junior Eric Bellinghausen and freshman Evan Rosza were able to ask Nowitzki their questions. Bellinghausen asked about the longest basketball game that Nowitzki had played in the NBA, and Rosza inquired as to Nowitki’s diet as an athletic.
